  7. ** If you have purchased K-Free in the past and have not received your
  8.    upgrade letter please read PRODUCT.INF for information on upgrading
  9.    from a previous version of K-Free.

  12. **** Differences between the shareware and retail versions of K-Free ****
  13.  
  14. 1) The opening herald is different.  In the retail version of K-Free the
  15.    Herald does not speak to you and will dissapear automatically after 3
  16.    seconds.  Also, the herald may be disabled in the retail version.

  20. --- Fixes/additions for Version 5.02 ---
  21.  
  22. 1) The color dialog has been fixed so that changing the colors in K-Free
  23.    does not cause system resources to decrease.

  27. --- Fixes/additions for Version 5.01 ---
  28.  
  29. 1) The new button controls will now react properly when the space bar is
  30.    pressed.
  31.  
  32. 2) A new Resource dialog has been added so that the GDI and USER resource
  33.    percentages may be displayed together or seperately as desired.
  34.  
  35. 3) If you are using Windows 3.1 or Windows with Multimedia Extensions then
  36.    you will be able to hear the author speak.  Run K-Free and select the
  37.    About Box for more information.
  38.  
  39. 4) K-Free will run under both Windows 3.0 and 3.1.
  40.  
  41. 5) A UAE would sometimes occur when opening the Color Setting dialog or the
  42.    Drive selection dialog.  These UAE's have been corrected.
  43.  
  44. 6) The background color of the K-Free radio and check boxes would appear too
  45.    dark on 256 color displays.    The background now matches the rest of the
  46.    dialog.

  49. --- Corrections to the Manual ---
  50.  
  51. 1) Date Display, Page 10.  The manual states that there are six (6) different
  52.    date formats, it should state that there are five (5).
  53.  
  54. 2) Date Display, Page 10.  "Please turn to page 23 for more details" should
  55.    state "Please turn to page 16 for more details".

  57. 3) Time Display, Page 10.  "Please turn to page 23 for more details" should
  58.    state "Please turn to page 16 for more details".

  61. --- Known problems ---

  63. 1) Selecting "Disable K-Free" from the options menu will not disable K-Free.
  64.    A work-around for this problem is to press Ctrl-F from the main window.
